Here we have a departure from the trend I started of harmless inanimate objects into Satanic implements. It started as just a skull, then into a stretched skin mummy skull, and finally into a Doom II reject. I'll start linking to the 3ds Max files soon so you can flip it around and tear it up if y'ant to.

This texture was mostly "painting" with some stone textures overlaid and a creepy child's handprint jacked from Google images. For my next model I'll try strictly painting the texture.

Next up, I tried my hand at a non-existent species of cactus. Who knows, maybe it exists in toxic form somewhere not far from here. This was interesting to work on since it had entirely radial symmetry. The texture was about half photo/half painting to save time and work on my UVW unRAPPIN'.

It just occurred to me that it makes sense to show the texture too. Fun fact: The weird little moisty bits inbetween each ridge on the cactus are made up from images of a Hollywood special effects wound.

This journey begins, as many 3d modeling journey's do, with the ubiquitous crate. With the assistance of my ever patient roommate I learned to make all these vertices talk to each other. The texture was quickly spliced together from various photos so I dissect this thing known as "UVW Unwrapping".
